‘CHOGOKIN x GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA RX-78F00 GUNDAM’ — Bandai Goes HEAVY METAL!

The new Chogokin x GUNDAM FACTORY RX-78F00 GUNDAM is super heavy-duty

Calling all Gundam collectors! — the incredibly epic Chogokin x GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA RX-78F00 GUNDAM has been announced! This awesome crossover was made possible by the indirect acquisition of Sotsu and Sunrise by Bandai Namco in March of 2020, and is one of the first ever super-alloy GUNDAM!

A look at the new Chogokin x GUNDAM Factory RX-78f00 GUNDAM.

The fictional super metal Chogokin dates back to 1972 with the release of Mazinger Z, predating Gundam by seven years. As for the real-world, Chogokin branded models have the distinct property of being die-cast metal rather than molded plastic like the majority of model kit toys. This can make them tricky to assemble, so a well-made Chogokin can earn you some serious clout!

Chogokin x GUNDAM FACTORY RX-78F00 GUNDAM has some incredible features, including light-up parts, pre-colored components, a heavy duty display stand, and an assortment of weapons (including the Hyper Bazooka designed specifically for this model).

Chogokin x GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA RX-78F00 GUNDAM costs 22,000 yen (roughly $212.83 USD). It stands at 187mm, which is equal to Bandai’s 1/100 scale Master Grade models.

They are available at GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA, home of the life-sized RX-78F00 Gundam. No word yet on international or online allocations.
