‘Dokebi Solo Show’ and the ‘Goblin Squad’ Custom Show — Chris Dokebi Strikes Twice With Strangecat Toys! [Preview Gallery]

Dokebi fans brace yourself for the Dokebi Solo Show and the Goblin Squad custom show double feature!

Venerated designer Chris Dokebi will undergo the toy maker’s right of passage this weekend with not one, but two(!) toy shows: the Dokebi Solo Art Show and The Goblin Squad custom show!

Dokebi (real name Chris Sammons) has quite the resume. Creating work for YouTube, Google, and other high-profile clients, it was only a matter of time before he had a his own event; and who better to collaborate with than Strangcat Toys, the producer of Sammons’ Puck Little Painter.

This weekend’s Dokebi double feature will be chocked full of phenomenal Puck customs, as well as plenty of original and non-toy works by the man himself.

To celebrate the momentous occasion, event shirts pre-orders (shipping ETA: May) and open edition Puck Little Painter DIY Blanks ($60) will be available from the Strangecat web shop on Friday, May 7 @ 8pm EST.

Now on to the good stuff!

1. The Dokebi Solo Art Show

The solo portion of this double event will feature plenty of limited edition art works and prints. Our homies at Strangecat have told us to expect original works on wood, small-batch woodcuts, and a set of limited edition hand-pulled prints.

Prints are limited to 28 red and 35 green copies.

2. The Goblin Squad Custom Puck Art Show

The Goblin Squad is absolutely packed with over 40 amazing artists. The list features a ton of our favorite veterans, as well as some fresh faces. Take a look:

The Dokebi double event starts this Friday, May 7. The gallery opens at 7pm EST, and online at 10pm EST.

In the interest of fairness, in-person collectors may purchase only one custom at a time and must requeue to purchase each additional, so get your contingency plans in order!
