‘TANK CLUB’ Gallery Show and Klav9’s First Solo Sofubi Coming January 5! [Exclusive Sneak Peek]

TANK CLUB marks Klav9’s first sofubi!

With one of the most distinct art styles out there, Klav9 is no stranger to machines and mechs.  The artist behind the Creeping Death Robot Club has graced everything from Chomp to TEQ63.  This next project has Klav9 working on his own original toy!  For the last year, Klav9 has been hard at work on his first sofubi, and we here at Invasion Toys are so excited to get a first look at TANK CLUB!

Instead of casting a printed master model, Klav9 took the old school approach and meticulously put together all the individual pieces before sending it straight to Japan for printing.  This method leaves all of Klav9’s tool markings on the final piece which will give it some unique details!

Measuring in at 4”, TANK CLUB will release in 4 colors alongside TWELVE painted one-offs! Each sofubi will even have 3 different guns you can swap on the piece.  The craziest part?  The top portion of it will be able to swivel!  Klav9 has thought of it all to ensure that we actually have a mini tank to add to our collections! 

The TANK CLUB gallery show will be at Klav’s Moyo Gallery, accompanied by an online release on January 5.

Pricing will be $50 for the blanks and the painted one-offs will be $150 each.
