C is for… ‘COOKIEZILLA’?! Gabriel Marquez’s ‘SHIN-COOKIEZILLA’ Comes to Life

Gabriel Marquez and Bottleneck Gallery have teamed up to release SHIN-COOKIEZILLA in two amazing colorways

Kaiju lovers and… children’s educational television enthusiasts(??) unite!? Sculptor-extraordinaire Gabriel Marquez and Bottleneck Gallery have released SHIN-COOKIEZILLA, God of Destruction!… and cookies.

Sharp-eyed readers may recognize Marquez’s monster mashup from early sculpts dating as far back as 2018, and the concept itself from at least 2017. And though CoVID-19 likely threw a wrench at early plans to mass-produce this Cookie-Monster, today, the creature is that much closer to fruition.

Earlier this week, Bottleneck Gallery opened a limited pre-order for SHIN-COOKIEZILLA in blue and red colorways. Classic blue is limited to 400 units at $100 each, while only 100 copies of the gruesome red edition will be made, coming in at $125 each.

SHIN-COOKIEZILLA is a whopping 11.25 inches tall! Fitting for the King of All Cookiemonsters. He has a Grover-tipped tail, and is fully made of resin. Each copy will be hand-painted.

Pre-orders for both variants of SHIN-COOKIEZILLA sold out in under one hour. They are slated to arrive in the hands of those lucky 500 some time in Q1 2021.

Marquez is a based in Texas and is a veteran of the toy and collectibles industry. With over 20 years of experience, his career got its start with McFarlane Toys. If you missed out on this round of COOKIEZILLAs, stay tuned to his channels; maybe more variants will make it to production.
